First, all I'm trying to do is establish internet access for two PCs using Windows Me, sharing one IP address. We do NOT want or need to share files, printers, We specify "direct connection to internet via Lan" as the connection type. Then you can load windows internet connection sharing (ICS) and share the cable line. Total investment going this route is one serial cable. Good points: dirt cheap. Down side: I've never done it, but I've read that the serial connection isn't very fast. A better route is to link the two via a pair of LAN cards.

We are running PC-Maclan to enable file sharing between the Mac and the Win98 PCs. File sharing works but no clue on the printing side.
