have a Pentium133 with a modem and printer in a LAN with a 486dx2/66mhz both with win95 installed. Now I have shared the printer - works fine. But can I share the modem so I can reach the internet from my 486? Or if the P133 is hook'ed on inet - is it possible then? Maybe through the right gateway or IP-adress.

The internet works fine, but the other characteristics of a LAN I cannot get to work. The computers don't seemto think they are connected at all and do not allow printer sharing, file sharing, or let you play games via the LAN. They don't see each other on the workgroup. VPN through DSL via LAN?
The PCs are connected via a switch (switch is part of a Netgear RT314 router, to share Bell Advantage High Speed Internet similar to Sympatico HSE). The hardware parts of the network are working okay, because everyone can share the high speed Internet just fine. Problem is with the LAN file and printer sharing.
